1.6.4 Collection requests

Postby dryan01uk » Sat Mar 07, 2009 11:49 pm

Hi Gad,

Been playing with the collection feature and was wondering if I could request the following :

- Ability to add 'edition name' to the selectable column
- ability to add the same card as a normal and foil copy (I can't work out how to do this at present)
- ability to add a set in one go , ideally by selecting a set and number of cards from 0 to N (I like zero as an option so that I can work out what cards from a set I am missing)
- summary value column (basically taking the price per card and multiplying it by the quantity)
- ability to 'auto-archive' the old collection by prefixing a date marker (I'm paranoid about corrupting the only collection reord I've got)

Just some thoughts

Ability to add 'edition name' to the selectable column

Planned as I106 at http://www.mtgstudio.com/forum/viewtopi ... =3090#3090. This feature would require update of the collection file format. I can not promise it will be implemented immediately.

Ability to add the same card as a normal and foil copy (I can't work out how to do this at present)

Whenever you add a card to the collection which already has been added a similar to the one below prompt message will appear:

Do you see such? If not I guess you have checked "Never ask again" option. If you wish to start appearing again delete your mtgstudio.conf file from the configuration folder.

Ability to add a set in one go , ideally by selecting a set and number of cards from 0 to N (I like zero as an option so that I can work out what cards from a set I am missing)

Planned as I212 at http://www.mtgstudio.com/forum/viewtopi ... =3090#3090

Summary value column (basically taking the price per card and multiplying it by the quantity)

Planned as I108 at http://www.mtgstudio.com/forum/viewtopi ... =3090#3090

Ability to 'auto-archive' the old collection by prefixing a date marker (I'm paranoid about corrupting the only collection record I've got)

Planned as I209, I210 at http://www.mtgstudio.com/forum/viewtopi ... =3090#3090

Cheers Gaddlord,

Thanks again for a wonderful product - it's the best by a long way. Just built my first EDH deck using your program and I can honesty say, I don't think I could of put the deck togehter as quickly or easily with anything else - MWS, is very user-unfriendly for this sort of task.

I'm looking forward to importing my collection into MTGS - perhaps giving CVS format a go - I'm still having a heap of problems importing MWS directly
