Deck availability report bugs

Postby CptDobey » Sat Feb 11, 2012 12:37 pm

Hi,

The column "short of" is bugged. If you have in your collection:
- the exact deck quantity: it is written "0" -> correct
- less than the deck quantity: it is written the missing (negative) quantity in red -> correct
- more than the deck quantity: it is written "what you have minus what's in the deck" (positive) quantity in black -> wrong. I suppose it should be "0" to.

All the button hints, and the "close" button are not in English but in Spanish. The same issue is also present with the two other reports.

MTG Studio 2.6
Windows 7 64 French

I hope this helps.

Regards.

The spanish labels and buttons in addressed in forthcoming 2.7.

Can you post a screenshot of your Deck Availability report to ease me troubleshooting it.

The
Code: Select all
ShortOf = Collection Qty - Collection Used - Deck Qty;

Let me know if this formula is wrong.

I assume the "short of" column is supposed to display the missing quantity.
If I need 4 "Dark Ritual" and I have 1 available in my collection, I'm short of 3 (or -3).
If I need 4 "Dark Ritual" and I have 4 available in my collection, I'm short of 0.
If I need 4 "Dark Ritual" and I have 26 available in my collection, I'm not short of 22, I'm short of 0, as none is missing.

I do not know if it is possible to do this in the report.

This can do the trick, but I do not know if it is possible:
Code: Select all
ShortOf = (Collection Qty - Collection Used - Deck Qty) * ((Collection Qty - Collection Used) < Deck Qty);

The idea is to multiply the result of your formula by something which is 0 if you have all the cards available.

Code: Select all
((Collection Qty - Collection Used) < Deck Qty)

Usually, this formula will return 1 when true and 0 or -1 when fasle. You have to do some tests and adapt the formula accordingly ;)
It is working well when you are not able to do if...then...else... statements.

I see where the confusion comes from. Previously the "Short Of"column was named "Collection Left" which had a positive value if you are left with copies in collection not consumed by your deck and negative if you are short on cards.

Since the column was renamed to Short Of it should have
positive value - number of cards you are short of in red color
0 - if you have sufficient copies

It is fixed in MTG Studio 2.7
