Search Improvements

Postby gaddlord » Thu Aug 04, 2011 3:14 am

Forthcoming MTG Studio 2.3 will have fixes for the Search in the toolbar but among those fixes some new improvements will sneak in

1. I decided to implement a new feature which will allow you to loop through the whole list of cards. If you are at the end of the card list the search will restart from the beginning.

2. And another improvement (big if you ask me) is the ability to do partial case-insensitive searches.
Like in the example below you start your search for "daw" and boom you find "Bringer of the White Dawn". Notice that this is also case insensitive.

3. Another small change is that found results will be highlighted in Yellow/Red for better visual representation.

4. The tooltips for the Search buttons will be fixed to state the shortcut just once.

5. The found card through search become the top record in the grid.

Those features will work for both Card Pool, Decks and Collection.

I hope you like it.

Yes, it will be very nice and use full, especially the "partial case unsensitive" search. Often I'm searching for something homarid, and the quick search is currently useless.

(in fact, I never search for "homarid", who will ever do such thing anyway ;))
