Multiplayer - News about Necromancer

Postby gaddlord » Thu Dec 23, 2004 8:57 am

Since we have been a lot busy there wasn't much time to inform you what is hapening to Necromancer (our MTG multiplayer)

So here are the hot news:

1. Necromancer will be designed to support different CCG Games
2. Necromanceer will use Xml card database
3. Necromancer will work through secure communication
4. Necromancer will support automatics (you tap a land and the mana automatically goes to the mana pool for example)
5. Enyone who knowns C# or VB.NET can script his favourite CCG
6. Necromancer will be written in C# for .NET Framework

I am currently working on the core framework of the program and experimenting with Duel Masters multiplayer (anther TCG from WotC)

There is not scheduled release date. I hope it will be available around the end of the year.

It will be a new program written in new language (C# with .NET Framework).
All the legal MTG Studio Deck Editor users will be send a registration key for the multiplayer. This means that

If you purchase MTG Studio now you will have also the license to use the multiplayer.

All users which are not registered MTG Studio users will have to buy the multiplayer standalone.

Please have in mind that this can be a subject of a change in the future.

Currently I am more concerned about the technical ussues of the product implementation than its distribution policy.

The post is 7 years old. Due to some legal constraints/DCL/and patents we are not allowed to build such tool.
