- Button Should Have Different Functionality

Postby Azul » Thu Jul 22, 2010 7:26 pm

When I am doing Deck or Collection from pool and I'm in the top pane the '-' (minus) button should remove a card from the Deck or Collection.

Basically this is what would be a nice functionality. I am in the Pool pane and accidentally add 6 Baneslayer Angels rather than 4. Instead of having to go down to the Deck/Collection pane I should be able to just hit minus on Baneslayer to remove one copy.

This is not so easy to implement since you may select in Card Pool another card (lets say Terror) different from the one selected in Collection (lets say Fog).

When you press - in the Card Pool MTG Studio should perform a full lookup over the collection to find if you have a Terror in the collection and decrease its quantity which will be slow.

Your collection can have a filter applied by that time and if you hit the minus by accident you even won't see the change.

You may have Terror on many rows in your Collection for example
2 Terror 10E
1 Terror 4E
1 Terror Autographed.
How MTG Studio will decide which one to subtract 1 from?

As a whole the only solution I see here is a rule like this

If Terror is selected in Card Pool,
If Terror is selected in Collection,
If Terror is visible in Collection,
If minus is pressed in Card Pool,
Then decrease the Terror in Collection by 1,
Otherwise - do nothing.
