Importing [INCOMPLETE]

Postby marcush » Fri Sep 26, 2008 8:57 am

First, Let me say I Love this tool!

I have pretty close to my complete collection already entered in the online tool at www.essentialmagic.com and want to easily transfer this to mtg Studio. Essentialmagic has a download option to download your collection to a csv. would you consider an import option from csv so I can "move" my collection to your tool?

Thanks!

Yes this can be done. I need a full list of the set names according to Essential Magic. Can you prepare such one for me?

Can you also make a csv file with the following cards:
Aether Barrier
About Face
Arc-Slogger
Wax/Wane
Mirri, Cat Warrior
Abu Ja'far
S.N.O.T.
Circle of Protection: White
Question Elemental?
Denied!
"Ach! Hans, Run!"
The Ultimate Nightmare of Wizards of the Coast(R) Customer Service
Example: R&D's Secret Lair

(If you wonder why those cards especially. Those cards are the common suspect of invalid parsing due to special characters within the card name).

Please send this information to gaddlord@mtgstudio.com. Thanks.

Hi Gad,

I've got my inventory in CSV format as well (MS Excel actually) - if I could import from this format it would be fantastic.

Please send it to gaddlord@mtgstudio.com for evaluation.
Custom CSV files can be supported but it would require the user to have typed correctly the card names and set abbreviation/name.
