OK than. MTG Studio 1.7 will have a basic Solitaire play mechanism.
It will support:
1. Board (In Play zone) with card preview
2. Hand Zone with card preview
3. Other zones such as Grave, Library, Ante, etc. with a list preview of the card names
4. Life counter. Ability to Increase, Decrease and Modify the Life Points
5. Mana Pool with ability to change the amount of mana
6. You will be able to load only one deck at a time.
7. The cards will be previewed with their original card art.
8. Ability to Tap/Untap a card
9. Ability to Flip/Unflip a card

Lets keep the list short and future enhance it with stuff like poison counters, permanent counters, tokens, etc.
_________________
MTG Studio Magic: the Gathering Deck Editor

That would be awesome, the main reason I wrote this was I couldn't find anything on the internet to do testing on decks...
Do you need this Solitaire feature added in MTG Studio.
If so I can add board, moving over the board, shuffling, tapping, flipping, adding counters, changing life, editing mana pool.
Will this be sufficient?
_________________
MTG Studio Magic: the Gathering Deck Editor
edit the config to point to your Magic Workshop images directory (it uses the abbreviations in the folder name to cut down on searching)

It uses .net 2.0 and has a fixed window size (sorry I use a huge lcd)
Subject: Deck Testing/Solitaire
Posted: Wed Jul 02, 2008 2:08 am (GMT 2)

I have been tinkering with a deck solitaire program, and I just started using MTG Studio and was able to adapt the xml format of the deck data to the one I was using.

screenshot:

It has lots of work left to do but if anyone is interested in playing with it I will upload it and post it here.

Features:
Basically it loads an xml formatted deck file, shuffles it using a basic engine (x++ card swapped with random card), has a simple playing field and a large preview of images (it uses the directory structure from Magic Workstation) . It also can tap and flip cards, and has pretty decent management of cards. I plan on adding a more realistic shuffler with stats, and thats basically it. No AI, no multiplayer, just something quick to test decks digitally.

Let me know what you guys think!
I was wondering if I am doing something wrong or its a bug, when I select autosize for the image size, I am assuming that it resizes based on the best size of the card, but it doesn't change unless I click that again.
MTG Studio is designed to work only on Windows operating systems.
There is no native Mac OS support but emulators can be used.
On Mac OS you can use Windows emulator such as Parallels or WMWare to install and run it.
_________________
MTG Studio Magic: the Gathering Deck Editor
