I am having trouble adding cards from my collection down into the deck section. Is that a feature that is only available for the paid version?

Will there ever be the possibility of seeing more 'incremental' releases of MTG Studio?

The big features you are working on might show up in the full release (which includes all incremental releases), but things like updated setlists and such could show up earlier by way of a separate file (sorry I'm not aware whether MTG Studio uses separate files for it's database or not).

That way we can get something like Rise of the Eldrazi soon as you have it coded without it being bundled with the difficult to code new feature that is holding stuff back.

In case you are still interested in supporting Wagic: The Homebrew it has updated to version 0.11 and has support for a few thousand more cards. I'm really enjoying the feature on the version of MTG Studio that I purchased. I have likely been building more Wagic decks than real ones lately.

Hi all.

As many of you know, MTGO 2.x had a feature which allowed one to track one's physical collection. This feature is not there in version 3.x.

This is too bad, because the card search/filter/deck building experience in MTGO 3.0 has everything (fast, comprehensive, intuitive).

Luckily for us, there is a way to fool MTGO into presenting the user with a physical collection instead of an online collection. I will skip the technical details here (unless anyone is interested).

My question is this: would anyone here be interested in an app that takes your MTGS collection, and converts into the file format that MTGO reads? (I'm talking about the collectionCache.dat file, not the .dek files).

I plan on writing this for myself over the next week or so, and I can make it available for public download if anyone wants it.

There is one important drawback: the MTGO client will show ALL your physical cards in the Collection tab, but the Deck Building tab will only show cards that also exist in MTGO. Not bad for me, since I started collecting physical cards around Invasion, but probably more bad for others. As MTGO adds more sets, this problem will be mitigated.

My main motivation for this stems from the fact that MTGS cannot find Red cards, with Red casting cost, but with Black mana abilities.

That, and the filter has such a poor perf profile XD

Any thoughts?

Duel has a new a bit more detailed help on what it can and can't do. As soon as new features are added the Help will be updated.

I'm used to surfing the web 'on the go' with my iPhone - accessing my inventory in real-time sounds amazing - I'm currently using the GoodReader app and viewing an exported PDF from MTGS which works quite well.

This card is definitely present. Please check you have cleared your filters and have selected 'View|All Cards' menu as well.

The issue is detected and fixed. The fill will be present in 1.7.5 version.

I am building with basic HTML, JavaScript blocks which in theory (apart from the tiny iPhone screen) do not limit the platform. So iPhone is theoretically possible though not tested so far.

Agree - inventory management would be fantastic (and hopefully the server will be accessible from my iPhone ...) - I suspect it's the more difficult option to realise, however.

Deck building from my inventory is an important part of MTGS functionality, for me, at least - so getting the inventory on line would appear to be the logical first step.

As soon as it is fully funtional inport/export CSV will be present.

Btw, which do you think that
1. deck editing or
2. collection editing
is the first to come.

I believe collection editing has more potential since online you can mark which cards you own are for trade and can build an online community of card exchangers?

Hello,

Bought the application two days ago. I, too, found the search slow so I came here to see if there was anything I could do to speed it up.

The thing is, I'm not seeing the new quick search - I have the "old" one. I checked the conf file and I can't see the old one enabled as per the instructions here. Any idea what's going on?

I was entering in all of the Ravnica cards into my collection when i came across several that aren't in the database...i did a full search, then a search within the (RAV Block) filter, to no avail.

If I'm wrong and it is actually there please let me know and tell me how to find them for instance...Boros Garrison (RAV version) is nowhere to be found
